Dr. Amy Snyder graduated from The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She is a member of The American Veterinary Medical Association, Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. After graduation, Dr. Snyder continued at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Teaching Hospital where she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery and oversaw the internship program while working in the ICU as an assistant clinical professor. A native of Cincinnati and graduate of Walnut Hills High School she returned home in 2000 to be closer to family.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Snyder has worked in emergency practice, specialty practice and general day practice. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Snyder has also held several leadership roles in veterinary hospitals and most recently oversaw an agricultural education program for a nonprofit farm She and Dr. D met over 20 years ago in emergency practice and she has maintained a part time presence at the Animal Hospital of West Chester since 2009. Areas of special interest include: internal medicine, infectious disease, client education and feline medicine and surgery.
In her free time, Dr Snyder enjoys spending time with her family- husband Charley and son Sam (freshman at Rhodes College) and daughter Avery (sophomore at Walnut Hills High School). She also spends her time biking, kayaking, gardening or hanging with her rescue Irish Setter, Finnegan, and Pug, Flat Stanley.
She joined the practice full time in July,2020 and looks forward to working with the staff and doctors at AHWC to provide the best care and experience for pets and their families.
